Home Remedies For Tooth Pain
Here are some simple and easy to follow remedies for tooth pain, which can be done everyday for relief-
The leaves of fresh guava have been used for centuries for relieving pain in the teeth. Basically, you have to take the tender leaves of the fruit and then chew them. The juice is very effective on the affected region and reduces pain in a jiffy.
You can also try and make a mouthwash using the leaves of the plant. Simply boil them and then strain the juice. Add some salt to this mixture and then use it as a mouthwash. You can get similar results using the leaves of spinach too, if guava is not available.
Salt And Pepper
The good old combination of salt and pepper is one of the most suggested remedies for getting rid of pain in the teeth. What you can do here is simply take the two in equal amounts. You can use either peppercorn that has been crushed roughly or even the powder of the same. Then take a bit of water to form a nice paste and mix it well.
This mixture should be then applied on the affected teeth or tooth like you do for a toothpaste. But make sure that you let the paste remain there for sometime, else you won’t get results. This should be done at least 2-3 times everyday and repeated for a week to get results. This mixture is known to have a healing effect on dental cavities and eliminates it.
There are many antibacterial properties of clove and relief from toothache is one of them. Clove is known for its many antioxidant properties along with being anti-inflammatory and works as a home based anesthetic too. What you should do is apply some clove oil on the affected tooth as you feel a bit of pain. Remember that it is better to treat the tooth, as you experience pain.
You can take the clove oil in a cotton ball and then apply it on the infected area to stop the pain. Apart from this, you also make a rinse or mouthwash of clove. Simply mix the oil or paste of the clove with warm water and then rinse the mouth. It can be mixed with some regular cooking oil and applied on the area.
Known largely for its antibiotic elements along with other medical benefits, garlic is a great way to relieve toothache. Simply use the paste of garlic and rub it like a paste on the teeth along with some rock salt. You can use the powder or even dried garlic if you don’t have access to fresh ones. Even chewing cloves works well.
You can try doing warm salt water gargle to relief pain and inflammation due to toothache. Chewing onions or applying the juice of the onions is also a great way to combat pain in the teeth. Repeat at least a few times everyday for 5-6 days to see visible results.
Diet Treatments For Tooth Pain
If you are having tooth ache, then it is best to consume a diet that is not very fibrous. If you have leafy and fibrous foods then the chances of the pain getting worse are higher because the same gets stuck in the teeth. You should have soft and easily chewable food to avoid further pain.
