Turmeric helps remove tan too.
Here is a simple paste which you can make for removing your tan. Mix turmeric with raw milk or curd. Apply this paste on your face and let it be for a few minutes then wash it off gently. Another recipe involves mixing turmeric powder, tomato juice, rice powder and milk. Apply this paste on your face and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Aloe vera is excellent for our skin. Removal of tan is included among its many redeeming traits. You can simply slice its leaf into two and apply its gel on your skin. Leave it there for at least twenty minutes before washing it off gently. Or you could mix the gel with some fruits and then use it as a pack. You can also use it along with almond oil.
Lavender is often used in lotions, bath oils and soaps for its excellent smell. Lavender essential oil helps moisturize our skin and remove tan too! You can directly apply it upon your skin and remove it after a few minutes.
Comfrey is another useful herb for removing tan. It contains allantoin which helps in skin repair. It absorbs UV rays and prevents sunburns. Similarly it helps nourish skin from within and remove the dark patches caused by sunlight. You can use this herb along with milk or tomato juice. It is very effective in removing tan.
Tea contains tannic acid and theobromine. These help remove tan and also reduce any soreness that may have been caused by sunburn.
You can simply dip a cloth in tea and then dab it over the affected area. No need to add sugar while making the tea. Just brewing the leaves in water and straining and using the mixture is useful.
