It is also added in tea for its flavor. Fennel seeds have a bit sweet taste with a nice fragrance. You can roast them on a low flame till they turn light yellow and eat. If fennel seeds don’t help add one third of its quantity carom seeds, it is a sure way of stopping that nasty gas from bloating your belly.
To a 1 tbsp of crushed fennel seeds add 5 leaves of fresh green mint leaves. Use dry mint leaves if you don’t have fresh ones. Bring them to boil along with 500 ml water. Simmer them for 10 minutes, covered with a lid all the while to help contain all the essential oils. Let it cool down a little and strain the clear liquid, and discard the rest. Divide it into two equal doses and drink twice a day. Drink it till the symptoms subside. It has no side effects.
The seeds of black cardamom are helpful in flatulence. They can be powdered and added to vegetables, curries, and soups. But the best way is to consume its tea. One pod of black cardamom can be used to make 2 to 3 cups of tea. Just simmer the freshly powdered cardamom for 5 minutes with half a liter of water, keep it covered with a lid. Add some sugar or honey for taste and consume a warm cup of this tea after the meals.
It is a wonderfully strong condiment, a must in most homes. One can add a few cloves in some vegetables, rice or curries. It is an excellent carminative. The best way to derive its carminative effect is by making a clove tea with water and sugar. 2 to 3 cloves are enough for a cup of tea.

Aniseed milk is made by boiling 1 teaspoon of crushed aniseed with 1 cup of milk. It is made to boil on a low flame for 5 to 10 minutes and then strained. Its taste is good, and it possesses curative properties for bloating and flatulence.
Soup made from garlic eases bloating, it may even be considered one of the best herbal remedies. You can have one cup garlic soup once a day with meals, in fact the whole family can consume it once a while.
For two cups of garlic soup you will require 4 big sized cloves of garlic, half a tsp of cumin seeds, 4 peppercorns, half a tsp coriander seeds. Pound all these separately. Heat a tsp of oil, put coriander seeds, followed by cumin seeds, garlic and peppercorns. Put one and a half glass of water and a pinch of salt. Boil it for 15 to 20 minutes and the garlic soup is ready.
Asafetida is a very effective carminative. You can make an infusion and have it. To make it you need a cup of water and a pinch of asafetida. You may have it after warming up or without warming. Both ways asafetida dissolves in water.
Juice of a lemon is added to half a tsp of sodium bicarbonate and a glass of water, your anti flatulence drink is ready to drink. Excellent to have after meals.
